Mantec appoints new Operations Manager

Mantec is pleased to welcome Chris Sawyer as its new Operations Manager. Chris comes with a wealth of experience in ceramics having worked in operations management within the industry for more than 30 years.

Chris graduated from Staffordshire University with an ONC & HNC in Ceramic Technology and BA (Hons) in Business Studies. His skills also extend to automation, robotics, PLC control and lean manufacturing as well as NEBOSH health and safety. In 2004, Chris was the winner of the PMI Trust prize for Innovation in Industry for his work in robotic automated glazing process.

He has previously held positions as Manufacturing Development Manager and Project Implementation Manager, during which time he developed new factory layouts, systems of work and streamlined product flows and improved production yields and overall manufacturing performance.
